September was an action filled month for Food Forests Ireland. Through new partnerships, vital funding and educational rollouts, we are continuing to turn national climate objectives into immediate localised action.

Expanding Communities

Dublin: Launched our first Infastructure Enabled Edible Landscape (IEEL) workshop at Technological University Dublin (Blanchardstown) in collaboration with GAP Ireland, as part of the Communicating Europe Initiative supported by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Education & Research

Hosted representatives from Airfield Estate at our award winning Father Angelus Park and Quay Food Forest hubs.

Network Growth

Formally joined the All-Ireland Climate and Biodiversity Research Network (AICBRN)

Policy & Social Impact

Social Protection Funding: Secured funding from the dept of Social Protection under the UN Day for the Eradication of Poverty, launching a public campaign and workshop in Mayo to tackle the cost-of-living crisis through localised food system resilience.
