July was been an incredible month for Food Forests Ireland, with a focus on education, capacity building and training. We started the month with a visit from the Epale Ireland team and other educators to Westport, for a food forest workshop, where we demonstrated how public spaces can become "living classrooms"

Next, we delivered a hands-on breakout session in Ballina at The Mary Robinson Climate and Nature Conference on "Delivering Real Climate Action through Systems Thinking and Collaborative Design" focused on community-led stewardship.

We also met with Italian community volunteers from CSV Marche ETS on their Erasmus + mobility trip. Host Partner Volunteer Ireland in conjunction with Mayo Tidy Towns and Food Forests Ireland met with volunteers at the Fr Angelus Park Food Forest in Westport, Co Mayo, to exchange insights on place-based solutions.

Finally we revisited the food forest at The National Museum of Ireland in Turlough Park, connecting traditional heritage with modern ecological training.
